Lakshadweep
Lakshadweep is a group of islands in the Laccadive Sea, off the southwestern coast of India. It is one of the union territories of India and is known for its pristine beaches, coral reefs, and rich marine life. The name “Lakshadweep” means “a hundred thousand islands” in Malayalam, the local language. However, only a few of the islands are inhabited, with the majority of the population concentrated in a few key islands such as Kavaratti, the capital, and Agatti, where the airport is located.

Scuba Diving
Scuba diving is a thrilling underwater activity that allows individuals to explore the depths of the ocean with the aid of specialized equipment. Short for “self-contained underwater breathing apparatus,” scuba diving involves wearing a diving suit, fins, a mask, and a tank of compressed air, which enables divers to breathe underwater. It offers an opportunity to observe marine life up close, explore coral reefs, sunken ships, and other underwater landscapes, and experience the weightlessness of being submerged. Safety precautions, including proper training and adherence to diving protocols, are crucial for a fulfilling and secure scuba diving experience.
